Aparthotel operator Staycity
has opened two new properties in Heidelberg in Germany and Bordeaux in France.
The 299-room property in Heidelberg (pictured) is a short
walk from the central railway station and offers hotel rooms as well as one-
and two-bed apartments, a guest bar and lounge and dining area. It is Staycity’s
second property in Germany; it opened the 48-apartment Wilde Aparthotels by
Staycity in Berlin in 2019. Staycity says it has additional German
sites under development in Frankfurt and Nuremberg.
In Bordeaux, the company is opening a 125-apartment property on the city’s
riverfront.
The Dublin-based operator says it expects to open 10
further sites by the end of 2022.
The company said that occupancy across all 11 of its UK properties reached
85 per cent in late May, compared with 91 per cent in 2019 and 25 per cent in 2020.
