Aparthotel operator Staycity Group is to make its debut in Portugal with properties in both Porto and Lisbon.
They will both operate under the Wilde Aparthotels by Staycity brand when they open in late 2024 offering a range of studio and one-bedroom apartments. The announcement was made during Business Travel Show Europe in London on Wednesday (29 June).
The Porto property will have a total of 80 apartments while the Lisbon location is set to feature 95 units. They will also offer a coffee shop, gym, 24-hour reception and laundry room for guests.
Dublin-based Staycity has been in expansion mode recently with several new properties opening over the past 12 months, including locations in Bordeaux, Heidelberg and Dublin, plus two hotels in London.
Staycity CEO Tom Walsh said: “We’re delighted to be opening in these popular Portuguese destinations and to be taking our Wilde brand into another of our European target regions alongside those already operating in Germany and the UK.”
The company’s strategy is to open new-build properties in European cities which enjoy both strong leisure and business demand.
